American Legion Post #104 was formed at the behest of the Department of Rhode Island and received its Temporary Charter in 2005. We received our Permanent Charter from the Department in 2008. Our formation continues Warren's long history of patriotism and support to veterans, from the Revolutionary War to Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.

Currently, the 85+ members of Rhode Island's newest Legion Post meet on the second Wednesday of each month (dark/no meeting in July or August) at the Warren Community Center, 790 Main St., Warren, RI (use south entrance/lower floor).  Please visit the JOIN US page for more details about joining the American Legion or transferring your existing membership to Post #104. New members are always welcome!

The members of Post #104, working with Warren Unit #11 of the American Legion Auxiliary, are active in our community. We have sent 440 boxes of comfort items and school supplies to deployed troops. In July, we host a family outing/picnic at Colt State Park and invite residents from the RI Veterans Home to join us. We co-host the Town of Warren's annual Veterans Day commemoration. As good stewards of the community, we join Unit #11 in preparing and delivering holiday meals to the eldery, homebound and needy. We are also partners with the Library of Congress' Veterans History Project, through which we record the war-time experiences of East Bay veterans.

We look foward to continuing to serve our Community, State and Nation for years to come!
